About Us

I’ve never gone through such an extreme season change as I did when I became a first-time mom. In the beginning of my motherhood journey, I was disoriented and felt like the landscape was rather bleak. What is a woman to do when she lands on “Mars” (my description of motherhood)? Many abandon ship or look to shape their new scenery into something that looks like their old familiar territories. We can try to cram motherhood into spaces that we understand, or we can settle down and settle in and begin to explore this new world.

As I began to look around, I realized that there were uncharted wonders to be discovered on Mars. There are unseen moments behind closed doors that are mundane and yet glorious.

As I began to settle into my new world, I realized that my heart was shifting and changing in beautiful ways that I never knew I needed.

Home Inspired comes out of my initial exploration of Mars. I hope that it encourages and imparts grace to and vision to anyone in their journey toward home. I hope that it adds a sense of wonder and awe at God’s intent for home. And I hope it brings you, mom, wherever you are, into the moment so you don’t miss it! There you will flourish. There you will find sustenance and glory. There you will be transformed to love and be loved more and more.

Love,

Naomi

“My colleague, Darrow Miller, often says, “If the church does not disciple the nation, the nation will disciple the church.” We are either influencing the culture around us or it is influencing us. The question is how do we do this? Jesus calls us to be salt and light in this broken world but the brokenness often seems too overwhelming. Where do we begin? Naomi Bloom Smith answers this calling by saying we begin by making a flourishing family. Writing with an honest and engaging style Naomi brings unique insight to how the making of a family mirrors the making of a nation—to disciple a nation begins with discipling a family. Thank you Naomi!”

“Naomi Bloom’s is an amazing life journey. It is told within the covers of this book in a very personal, warm and “down home” way. Home Inspired is beautifully written with word pictures that jump from the pages and help you to visualize what she is sharing. Naomi is redeeming, in these pages and in her life, the maternal heart and impulse, and the art of making a home.”

“Indeed, healthy families are the foundation of healthy nations. Everyone wants to change the world, but they may not realize that that begins by changing one’s own life and home. Home Inspired will help you on this journey. Naomi, thank you for this gift to all who will read it.”
